With Gratitude of Bill Evans, 2021

$2,500.00

acrylic on canvas on board

50cm x 70cm

I cannot speak of the immense pleasure, peacefulness and comfort jazz pianist Bill Evans gives me as I continually listen to his music, finding the depth of life, the beauty of sound, the comfort of knowing that there are others who know life is so much more than accumulating things, being famous or successful, and making lots of money. One weekend I watched all the YouTube videos I could find on his life and work, and wondered how one could be a cocaine addict and yet produce such sensitive and soulful music. Life moves through each of us.
